We have had a little snow but January has been snow free around here. Still have about a third of the month to go so there is still time but we might end up setting records for the least amount of snow. Was trying to find out what that was but I didn’t hit on the right search terms so I don’t know.
We’ve also had temperatures that aren’t very January like. We just got back from a little walk because the sun was shining and it was in the 50’s which is clearly not what you’d expect in January.
In fact, there is a thunderstorm in the area. At least this is according to my weather app which like to notify me of lightning in the area. It certainly feels more like March and January.
I’m not complaining (much). I don’t miss the bitter cold and I can live without the snow. Except that it means we’ll probably have winter in mid February or a colder than average spring which isn’t really a great tradeoff. We did get out today but, honestly, these warmer than average January days aren’t good for a lot since you can’t start anything outside and the world is still brown and grey so there isn’t much to look at.
Well that’s one way to look at things (referring to the quote above). Guess I shouldn’t say anymore.
