Note: I’m going to fill this posts with random pictures of birds. These are all birds that have come to our various feeders. Why? Why not. They make me happy.

Got to experience the “new normal” getting my allergy shot today. Even though I made an appointment, I still had to text when I arrived to make sure there was enough space in the waiting room for proper social distancing. There was a little triage table at the door – they ran a thermometer over my forehead and asked all the usual questions. Actually, first confirming that I had an appointment and a reason for being there.

This was also the first time I was wearing my new cloth mask. I’m stuffed up as it is with the allergies and I suddenly got a mini panic attack because it felt like I couldn’t breathe. Weird. I had to kind of pull the elastic a bit to give me a little more room just to take a few breaths. I have read that this can be a thing. The paper masks we had were a little more forgiving so I guess I just need to get used to the feeling of the cloth.

As with all things like this, I consulted the internet and read a few articles suggesting this can be a thing. I did manage to get calmed down and through the shot and the waiting period. I couldn’t rip that thing off fast enough when I got outside though.

Which now makes me even more leery of doing a dance lesson. Not sure how well that would go. Guess we’ll just see what happens next week at the shot clinic.

So I’m liking this exercise app. I’ve set up mini workouts for each day where I can use the small amount of stuff I’ve got to focus on a particular area. Still do things like the calf raises everyday because that’s good for a lot of things. Guess I won’t come out of this with any new skills but maybe a little stronger. That’s something at least.

We have an odd assortment of condiments and sauces from the various meals we’ve ordered on the weekends. Some are easy to figure out – like the parmesan cheese and crushed red peppers from the pizza. There’s a couple of things that came with Indian food but we really didn’t know what they were when we got them. We did toss in some of the pepper flakes into an egg dish I made yesterday and it helped out.

We had Mexican on Sunday and got extra chips with salsa and queso so I used that to make nachos for dinner tonight. I know, it’s hardly the healthiest of options but we had salad Monday and spinach with the eggs yesterday. We’re at a time where our fresh produce options are limited so you make do with what you’ve got.

Well that’s all I’ve got. I’ve still got one bird photo so I’ll end with it.
