Thursday Tidbits

I thought the quote above was interesting and it makes some sense. It is a bit problematic because you could have multiple different things that excite you and then you’re still left trying to figure out a purpose where they all connect. Like how does ballroom connect to whatever purpose I have?

Speaking of that, we’ll start there. Our Cha-Cha routine is finished and we ironed out some of the rough spots last night and actually managed to do the whole thing with the song a few times. That’s always a great feeling when you finally combine all the pieces of the dance and see how it fits with the music.

I do a double lesson on Wednesdays and that means we can use the time between lessons to our advantage by taking a break a little early and then we get the whole floor for a few minutes. Took that time to do a run of the routine with music. There was a couple that had finished their lesson and they hung around to watch our Cha-Cha.

And that run was pretty much spot on. I knew they were watching so maybe I just need an audience. So is my purpose to entertain?? Who knew.

Woke up today super early and couldn’t get back to sleep. This happens from time to time and I don’t know why. Might need a nap later although the sleep app warns against it. What’s the point of not working if you can’t take a little nap every now and then.

Our run of nice spring like days seems to have ended as they are predicting rain for most of the day. Its the type of rain that just makes things feel colder and makes me wish we had a fireplace because a fire would feel good on a morning like this. I suppose I can’t complain too much because we are still in snow season and I’d rather have the rain than snow or ice.

The downside is that if it rains all day, we won’t be able to go out for a walk.

Noticed yesterday that the daffodils have started to come up in various places. For some reason, they are the only flowering bulb that don’t get eaten. We’ve tried tulips with no success but the daffodils get left alone. Most of the bulbs were planted after we move here but I’ve got some that have followed us through two moves and have been producing flowers for over 20 years. I guess they could just be offshoots of the original bulbs but it is still impressive that they just keep coming back.

Well that’s all I’ve got for this Thursday morning.
