We’ve had two really nice days with temperatures a bit above where they should be at this time of year and lots of sunshine. It really did feel like a late March day. I couldn’t help but start to having spring fantasies which is dangerous since we haven’t really even hit winter yet. The cold is coming but it was nice to be able to get out and enjoy the spring like weather.
This is one of the many benefits of retirement. If I was still working, I would have been trapped inside with maybe a few moments to break away and get out into the sun. Actually, it probably would have been walking from building to building for a meeting and nothing made a meeting worse than having to leave unexpected pleasant weather to go listen to people argue about nothing.
Ironically, the studio had a beach themed party last night. Did make some jokes about this not really being prime beach weather in these parts but it wasn’t that far off. I mean it would have been too cold to swim but a walk in the sand wouldn’t have been bad.
To follow up on my last dance post, I did sign up for more and more lessons. That’s when the cost of this little hobby/obsession rears its head. It then makes me feel bad for those who really love dance but can’t handle the cost as easily as others. Wish it didn’t have to be so expensive but it is what it is.
I did run COVID numbers but I won’t do a full post until next week since Thanksgiving really messes up the counts. It does look like things are winding down in parts of the Rockies which still seems a bit early compared to last year.
For what it is worth, the top 11 was Alabama, Florida, Hawaii, Wyoming, Texas, DC, Montana, Louisiana, Idaho, Georgia and Maine.
The bottom ten (worst at the end of the list) was Arizona, Illinois, Massachusetts, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, New Mexico, Michigan, Indiana, Rhode Island and New Hampshire.
We’ll see how things shake out as we get the Thanksgiving disruption behind us.
And I’ll just leave it here for now.
