The Long and Winding Road

Over the years of doing this, I followed many blogs. Most of them are dead now. And many just abruptly ended. No closure. No explanation. Always made me wonder what really happened.

Now I realize I was in that boat since it looks like my last post was about a month ago. I’d think about doing another but then I would just find other things to do. I can sort of blame it on the overlap between baseball and football seasons which are the two (three if you count college football as a separate thing) sports I follow.

I can’t say whether this will be truly be the last post. My desire for writing comes and goes and it may get sparked again. If not, this will at least strike the tone of a final post.

And it isn’t like I have a army of followers who would be concerned. But there are those I’ve met along the way who might stumble back across here so I don’t want to leave any mystery.

At one point, we had a thriving community of ballroom blogs and that was fun. But ballroom as a hobby is expensive and time consuming and hard to do for long periods of time. So the village dwindled and is now mostly a ghost town as people have likely moved on to other things.

I could recast into something else but, to be honest, I really don’t have the desire to put a lot of work into this when I have other parts of my life that I enjoy more. So I’ll leave it here to gather weeds and dust until such time as it becomes appropriate to make it go away for good.

And with that, we’ll call it a wrap for now.
